Are You Ready For Some Football?

Super Bowl is right around the corner and if you know me, you know I’m a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys. I remember when I was a little girl I would dream of growing up to be a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader. I would tuck my shirt up and over to make it look like a midriff blouse like theirs. Ay yay yay!

Anyway back to football, it’s going to be bittersweet watching two other teams play at the Cowboys Stadium (sigh), but that won’t stop me from hosting a Super Bowl fiesta.

My hubby on the other hand is thrilled – The Steelers are his team and so he couldn’t be more excited. Even though my team will not be there I’ll cheer for his team on Super Bowl Sunday.

Either way, the Super Bowl is a great excuse to pig out, host a party, and enjoy some company. I always look forward to all the commercials and am especially excited to see this year’s halftime performance by The Black Eyed Peas!

My sister and I have been talking about some of our favorite Super Bowl food; the list went on and on. We finally narrowed down the list and plan to share our top five recipes with you starting Sunday, January 30. Our collection includes appetizers, dips, finger foods, drinks, and more.

What are your favorite munchies for Super Bowl? What do you crave on game day?

It’s game time! Hut! Hut!

From another Cowboys fan (who grew up aspiring to cheer on the sidelines with the hope of catching Troy Aikman’s attention!), married to another Steelers fan, I feel your pain. Kudos to you for being able to root for the Steelers on game day; I just don’t have it in me to cheer for them. Ever. Even if they’re in Dallas. Especially because they’re in Dallas. And my Steelers fans in-laws will probably host the party, so the menu is out of my hands on this one. However, some year soon, I aspire to host one kick-butt Super Bowl party! Enjoy!

Too funny Danielle! I figure — If You Can’t Beat ‘em then Join ‘em! If my hubby is happy then I’m happy ;)

On the other-hand you might want to take a Cowboys cake to your in-laws. LOL!
